
The Central Criminal Court (better known as the Old Bailey) was recognized in 1834 and motivated to try treasons, killings, crimes and violations committed on the ocean or elsewhere overseas. It consumes the site of the former Newgate Prison where community accomplishments took place. Development of the prison started on 31 May 1770 and it was finished in 1780.
